Artist
Mara Strazdins is a Toronto-based artist who has a passion for oil painting specializing in still life, landscape and portraiture. She has studied art at Central Technical School and is a member of the Latvian Art Association LATVIS. Mara has participated in various solo and group art shows in Southern Ontario and Toronto including the annual LATVIS art show.
Art Work
All of her paintings are one of a kind and capture moments using oil paints on canvas. For the past 30 years, Mara has been fascinated with how colour and light affect the world around us and her paintings are a study of those two components.
Mara paints landscapes, still life and portraits using elements of Impressionism. All landscapes are painted en plein air and all still life scenes and portraiture are set up in a studio.
